Delete your account
The small print, in plain English.
You can ask us to delete your PassADI account and the data linked to it at any time, whether you signed up on the website or in the PassADI app for iPhone or Android. This page explains how to ask, what gets removed, and what we are obliged to keep.
1. How to request deletion
Email hello@passadi.ie from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". That is the whole process — you do not need to give a reason.
We ask you to write from the account address so we can be sure the request is genuine. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, email us anyway and we will find another way to confirm it is you before deleting anything.
We act on the request within one month, as the GDPR requires, and almost always much sooner. You will get an email confirming it is done.
2. What gets deleted
Your account itself: your email address, display name, nickname, exam date and daily study goal.
Your learning data: every quiz and mock-exam attempt, the answers you gave, your scores, streaks and progress, plus any notes and bookmarks you saved.
Your subscription record: the entitlement we hold that says whether your account has premium access.
Once this is done the data is gone and cannot be restored. Residual copies inside our providers’ routine backups expire on their standard cycles.
3. What we keep, and why
We never held your card details, so there is nothing of that kind to delete — payments are handled by Apple, Google or our payment provider, and we only ever see whether a purchase is active.
Records of a payment that we are required to retain for accounting and tax purposes are kept for as long as Irish law requires, and for nothing else.
If you asked for the free ADI starter kit, those details sit on our mailing list separately. Say so in your email and we will remove them at the same time; you can also unsubscribe from any email we send.
4. Cancel a paid subscription first
Deleting your PassADI account does not cancel a subscription you bought through the App Store or Google Play. Those are held by Apple and Google, not by us, and they will keep billing you until you cancel them.
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions.
A one-off Premium Full Access purchase is not a subscription and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
5. Signing out is not deletion
Signing out in the app or on the website only ends the session on that device. Your account and your progress stay exactly as they were, and you can sign back in. Deletion is permanent and has to be requested by email as described above.
6. Questions and complaints
Any question about this, or about your data generally, goes to hello@passadi.ie. Our full Privacy Policy is at passadi.ie/legal/privacy.
If you are unhappy with how we handle a request you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, Ireland’s supervisory authority.
